Don’t BuyKatieI purchased this bed 4 years ago. My husband has tried to repair and repair. It’s the wobbliest bed ever. It only has 4 legs to support a queen size mattress which is not typical for a queen size mattress. (We have a memory foam mattress.) It’s literally going to junk pick up this fall. Such a waste and very disappointing. 1
Both Right-side legs broke after sleeping alone for 2 yearsQiaoBoth of the right-side bed legs have their bolts inside broken apart, causing the bed collapsed after sleeping for 2 years. Both legs cannot be installed back. This is the second time I bought the same bed frame. The first one that I slept for 1 year had the squeezing sound at the bed leg and I gave it to someone else.1
Skip the legsJessicaHad this bed for 2 years I recommend skipping the legs that come with this bed. They will collapse and make the bed unsteady. We upgraded the legs after this happened to the BRENNÅSEN legs. They are solid. 4
Did not lastJulieHad this bedframe for almost 2 years. The two legs in the back are completely bent and my husband had to fix. My daughter really liked this bed and was upset when she was lying down and the legs gave away. We are in the search for a new bedframe for her. 2
Great bed frame with critical design flaw, fixed by extra $5 bucks parts from HomeDepotWilliamAs many of the reviews have stated, this bed frame will become wobbly after being used for a period of time. It is because of the four sides of the frame is hold together by 4 mounts with 2 screws and 2 bed legs to tighten up. By design, those screws need to tighten from the bottom then screw upwards, it make it hard to determine if the screws are tight enough. Also, the bed legs which act as screws too is extra long, which it make tighten them up from bottom then upward very hard to tell when is tight enough to keep the bed in shap. This is definitely a design flaw, otherwise there will not be that many report of wobbly bed legs.I use 4 "M8 1.25 wing nuts" to put on the other end of the screws and bed legs, which can now confirm the bed is tight enough and the bed does not wobble anymore.Just extra $5 bucks then this bed is a very good bed.3
Poor design leading to wobbly/broken legsNathanThe bed looks great and I really like the aesthetic design, but the legs are a major weak point, as many others have noted. I purchased this bed in July of 2022. My warranty is now up and it's yet again broken. In the first year, I returned 2 legs to my local store for replacements, but now I'm out of luck as another is breaking. The legs have a coarse-fine threaded stud in the top of them that threads into the bed's brackets. With time, this double-threaded stud either snaps in half or damages the wooden leg to the point that it becomes loose. I'm very disappointed to have a broken bed frame once again, but now have no means of warranty recourse. Especially for the price...2
Wobby & disappointed :(AlishaI have this bed since May 2022. The bed has been great other than the legs feeling a bit wobbly (even when on on a rug). Unfortunately today the bolts for the 2 off the legs snapped off as a sat down (Im only 130lbs). Disappointed as I really loved this bed and expected to last multiple years. 3
Very happy with this bed!SueWe've only had the bed for 1 week, but so far I am extremely happy with this purchase. Assembly was pretty straightforward as long as you take a deep breath and read, and then re read, the directions. We assembled it in about 2 and a half hours. We also bought the HAUGSVÄR queen mattress and this has worked out very well. Very comfortable, good night's sleep, and room to store things underneath the bed.5
Sturdy stylish bedNicoleWe Have had our bed since 2021 and it has held up beautifully with our toddler. They jump on the bed and we have had no issues. It looks amazing. Honestly my only criticism is that the twin version is not available in the United States store. Have seriously debated driving to Canada to get it for our other daughter since we can't fit two full-size beds. Anyway, at this point, you can't really beat this bed for a child's bedroom.5
Bed broke two times down the middleMacWe've owned the bed for 2 and a half years. About 6 months ago the central beam for the bed just split down the middle causing me to go to the hardware store and purchase a new one. Just now, one of the baseboards split in half and at this point there's no repairing this bed any longer. Cheap wood!1
Good BedJohnThought it would take forever to build but was not as bad as feared. Quality is good and looks great. 5
Queen bed is too smallDianeThis is a beautiful bed. Unfortunately, the queen sized mattress we purchased barely fits. It is a Ghost mattress, not an Ikea mattress, but that should not make a difference as the mattresses are very close in size. Making the bed requires a Herculean effort because the mattress is so jammed into the frame. Forget about trying to tuck in blankets. I’m not sure what to do… Taking the bed frame apart to return it would be a huge hassle. What a disappointment — my previous bed from Ikea lasted for years and was perfect.1
Broke after less than 1 yearJessicaWe had this bed for less than a year. Multiple times throughout the year the legs broke, and we had to fix them. Now the bed has completely fallen apart, and is no longer able to be fixed. I am extremely disappointed in the quality of the product. At this point we are just out $600 and IKEA has been no help.1
Frame smaller than mattressGinaMy daughter purchased the queen size bed a couple of days ago and I purchased an IKEA queen size mattress to go with it but the mattress is wider than the bed. I asked her to check if the bed she was given was a full size instead of queen but the numbers match. It was very difficult to build it by herself. The bed looks beautiful and she loves it, but I think she should return it. Has this happened to anyone else? 4
Sturdy, no squeakingTroyHave owned bed for 6 months, in guest room, so isn't used every day. Very sturdy, no squeaking. No problem with legs, but bed is on wall to wall carpet. It is queen size and holds a 14" mattress. We are considering buying another for our son's room.5
BrokenElenaLess than two years and the bed is already broken! Love Ikea but very disappointed with this product. 1
Disappointed SerenaUsually I love ikea items but this bed has been giving me issues. Both legs in the footbed have broken and the bed is now very unstable.2
TerribleKateIn less than a year, two legs have broken off. (Of course , it was also after the return window.) Believe all the bad reviews. Super disappointed because we love the look of this bed. 1
A Great Bed … But Hard to AssembleAntonellaThis is a great bed once it is assembled. Be wary of measurements in centimeters when making the decision on where to place the rails. Had to assemble, disassemble, and reassemble the bed after making that mistake. This bed also definitely requires two people for assembly for anything larger than a twin size. Once it was together, it is a fantastic piece of furniture and looks great in my bedroom.5
Squeaky and brokenKLegs have broken in less than 2 years Now the bed squeaks even if you try to move slowly or gently. Absolutely ridiculous. Way over priced for such a terrible quality product.1
